Director of Sales

Position Location: Clinton, Missouri

Summary:
Directs the sales activities of the operation by performing the following duties personally or subordinates.

Essential Duties:
Hires, trains, motivates, counsels and montiors the performance of all sales professionals and all staff designated in the Sales Department.
Directs sales staffing and training in ways that will enhance the development and control of sales programs.
Establishes annual and monthly objectives for sales managers and/or and sales staff as well as the sales department.
Tasked to lead the diversification of new sales focus for new industries and structuring the department accordingly.
Monitors sales individuals productivity and performance and/or monitors sales management's productivity and performance.
Regualary communciates and trains with fulfillment team and onboarding team to stay ontop of company changes and adjustments.
Administers and monitors sales promotions and internal spiffs.
Makes website recommendations based on feedback.
Makes software recommendations to improve department's expenses and efficiency as well as productivity.
Reviews market analysis and sales reports to determine customer needs, and volume potential, and works with marketing leadership to input on campaigns to accommodate the goals of the organization.
Represents the sales department to the executive team.
Provides input and analyzes and controls expenditures to conform with budgetary requirements.
Maintains a professional appearance.
Attends executive meetings as requested.
Other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employes in the sales department.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with 13Leads' policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training all position in the sales department; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and corrective action:  addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree (BA) from a four-year college or university: or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Abilty to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, limited standardization exits.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
